Charlie Zhu joined Topenergy in 2007 and has been engaged in green building consulting work. During this process, he helped Dasiderun become one of the leading green building consulting companies in China. He has been leading the consulting team for over 10 years, and they have completed over 100 LEED certified projects with a total area of over 10 million square meters.

Management capability

• Led a team to provide green building consulting services for over 400 projects, including working with foreign owners and design units using English as the working language.

• More than 60% of the consulting team members were women.

• Edited the green building working manual for internal use within the consulting team, which includes experience summaries and process explanations for project management, team management, time management, meeting preparation, sales, and marketing.

• Developed the performance evaluation system and workload calculation method for the consulting team.

• Led the team to refine the TOPE (Teamwork, Optimization, Professionalism, Efficiency) methodology for consulting services.

• Created various document templates for consulting team training, including project design guidelines, project task lists, presentation scripts, case introductions, etc.

• All staff members were trained and promoted from within the company.

• Das Daring has trained more than 50 green building professionals who have become an important part of China's green building industry and have all obtained the LEED AP professional qualification.

Innovation capability

• Explore new business models and opportunities, such as low-carbon building consulting, SBTi consulting, B Corps certification consulting, EPD certification, etc.

• Conduct a large number of case studies and data analysis related to green building, incremental cost analysis, building energy consumption simulation, LCA analysis, other calculations required for LEED certification, etc.

• Served as the lead author of the Green CBD research report, which proposed short-, medium-, and long-term sustainable development goals for the Beijing CBD Management Committee over the next 10 years.

• Led a team to complete a feasibility study on green building technology applications for a subway depot, which proposed building performance improvements for future subway stations and depots using the green building certification system for reference to the Guangzhou Metro Group.

• Led a team to execute the Central Academy of Fine Arts' green building teaching and experimental platform project.

• Led a team to produce green building design, construction, and operation guidelines, as well as green building technology strategy analysis tools for more than 20 chain stores of Japan's AEON Group in China.

• Developed a training course for the WELL AP exam in 2021.

Presentation capability

• Provided green building lectures for graduate students at the School of Architecture, Central Academy of Fine Arts from 2019 to 2022, with a cumulative number of over 100 students.

• Conducted hundreds of lectures on green building, LEED certification, and sustainable development throughout the country, with audiences including developers, architects, designers, government officials, and NGOs.

• Conducted LEED-EB system and case training for 200 participants at a property management conference hosted by the Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau.

• Contributed articles to the "Beijing CBD" magazine on green building concepts, the definition and development of green CBDs, and LEED-ND case studies in the core area of Beijing CBD.

• Wrote more than 10 articles on green building for the Dashide Run public account, including the basic concepts of green building, LEED certification, and green lifestyles.

• Contributed to the social media platforms of USGBC China and IWBI, sharing personal experiences in the green building industry.

• Recorded LEED case study introduction videos for multiple general contractors to use in project promotion and publicity.
